The German and Italian models are based on the Leopard 1, which served as the main battle tank for dozens of countries before retiring. The British and Sweden models are based on the Centurion MBT, which is still being used in certain roles by several armies.

The Soviet and Guest models are based on the T-54/T-55. The American, Toy Soldiers and UN models are based on the M48 Patton MBT, which is still being used in certain roles by several armies. However, this was reverted to its original damage. During the v4.0.0 update, the Battle Tank's cannon was planned to be nerfed. Before v4.0.0, the Battle Tank's cannon could only shoot up to 3 tiles. 
Before BETA v3.2.0, the Battle Tank used to have a research cost of 5 and 750.
